We Have Moved—And We’re Still Here for You!

The Emma L. Bowen Community Service Center has entering a new chapter—one that reflects both transition and continuity.
As part of the upcoming redevelopment of 1727 Amsterdam Avenue, many of our programs and services have relocated to our new temporary home at:
520 West 135th Street, Harlem
(between Amsterdam Avenue & Broadway)
This move is an important step forward, ensuring we continue delivering the comprehensive, community-based care that has defined the Bowen Center for nearly four decades.
Services Now Operating at Our New Location
- Addiction Treatment Services
- Adult Behavioral Health Clinic
- Care Management
- Child & Adolescent Clinic
- Food Pantry
- Infant & Early Childhood Services
- Rainbow Clubhouse
- School-Based Program
Together, these programs reflect Bowen’s integrated continuum of care—providing coordinated, culturally responsive services that meet individuals and families wherever they are.
A Note on Our Therapeutic Preschool (TPS)
Bowen’s Therapeutic Preschool (TPS) will remain at 1727 Amsterdam Avenue for the time being.
We anticipate relocating TPS in the coming weeks and are taking every step to ensure a smooth transition that prioritizes stability, care, and continuity for our youngest clients and their families.
Updates will be shared as soon as the transition timeline is confirmed.
Continuity, Care, and Community
While our location may be changing, our mission remains constant:
To serve as a trusted community anchor, delivering compassionate, high-quality care with dignity, equity, and respect.
This move is temporary.
Our mission…and our commitment to our clients and the community…remain constant.
Thank you for your continued trust and partnership.
