Bowen Center Named One of New York’s Top Healthcare Organizations

The Emma L. Bowen Community Service Center (Bowen Center) is proud to announce that it has been named one of New York State’s Top Healthcare Organizations by City & State New York, a recognition honoring organizations that are advancing healthcare through innovation, advocacy, service, and measurable community impact.
The designation places Bowen among a select group of organizations helping shape the future of healthcare while strengthening the communities they serve.

One of Harlem’s largest community-based behavioral health organizations, the Bowen Center serves more than 5,000 individuals annually through a comprehensive continuum of care that includes mental health services, addiction treatment, care management, early childhood programs, school-based counseling, and supportive services. The organization also operates one of Northern Manhattan’s largest food assistance programs, distributing more than 100,000 food packages each year to individuals and families in need.
At the heart of Bowen’s work is the belief that lasting wellness requires addressing the full range of factors that impact a person’s health and quality of life. By combining high-quality behavioral healthcare with essential supports that help individuals overcome barriers to stability and recovery, Bowen empowers New Yorkers of all ages to build healthier, more independent, and more fulfilling lives.
