Bowen Center Launches Televisit Services in Response to COVID-19 Pandemic
An update on the Bowen Center’s response to the nationwide crisis:
As our nation continues to cope with the COVID-19 pandemic, the Emma L. Bowen Community Service Center remains committed to providing comprehensive community services for all our clients.
The Bowen Center’s team of experienced psychologists, social workers, nurses, chemical dependency counselors, case managers, and vocational rehabilitation counselors have been working diligently to ensure that our clients do not experience a detrimental interruption to the core supportive services upon which they rely on.
All Bowen Center departments are maintaining appointments with clients through our newly launched a Televisit service, which allows clients access to all services remotely via computer or mobile device. While the Bowen Center remains open daily as an essential service organization for the public, we continue to urge all clients to take advantage of the new Televisit service, as it is the best way to ensure the safety of our clients and staff. For information on how to schedule your appointments virtually, please contact the Bowen Center at 212.694.9200 or email us at [email protected].
Our staff remains available to meet with clients in person, on a limited basis when necessary. To that end, we have worked assiduously to ensure that the Bowen Center remains a safe environment for clients and staff, by following the strict recommendations for prevention of the spread the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and NYS Department of Health (DOH).
In addition, Bowen’s Care Management Team continues to take coordinate client’s supportive needs and goals, including coordinating meal deliveries, medications deliveries, transportation for medications, home care and assisting with purchase of comfort items.
To help insure everyone’s health and safety, the Bowen Center remains a resource for food and meals. For additional information, please contact us at 212.694.9200 or email Bowen at [email protected] with subject line “Food Resources.”
During these difficult and stressful times, we understand that it is critical that the Bowen Center we continue to be a valuable resource for our clients.
The Bowen Center will continue to monitor the situation and guidelines set forth by all governing agencies. In the meantime, we’d like to remind all of our clients that we are all in this together, and we’re going to get through this together.
