Dr. Divya Chhabra
Director, Infant & Early Childhood Services
Dr. Divya Chhabra is a child and adolescent psychiatrist who came to Emma Bowen Community Service Center with the goal of starting an Infant & Early Childhood Services center focused around serving families with young children affected by trauma. She also consults for and produces content with children’s media companies such as Nickelodeon and Spotify and teaches coursework for undergraduates on children and inequities at New York University. She has been involved in advocacy efforts ranging from working with undocumented minors and their legal teams to organizing and training teams on anti-racism to global humanitarian work in East Africa. Divya is a graduate of Northwestern University and completed her adult psychiatry and child psychiatry training at UCSF and Columbia/Cornell New York Presbyterian, respectively. She completed a fellowship in public psychiatry at Columbia University. She also completed psychoanalytic coursework at The San Francisco Psychoanalytic Center and a media program at Harvard University.
