Our Food Pantry offers emergency food relief for community residents who are experiencing financial difficulties and are in need of food.
During fiscal year 2016, The Emma L. Bowen Community Service Center served over 45,000 meals that included breakfast, lunch and dinner. Pantry bags are packaged according to the National Food Guide Pyramid and include fruit, vegetables, grains, dairy and protein. The food is provided by the Food Bank for NYC, United Way of NYC and Emergency Food and Shelter program (EFSP).
Days of Operation are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
Community members in crisis can also access the Food Pantry on Monday-Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
