Elaine Schechtel, LCSW is a clinical social worker with over 25 years of experience working in both mental health and chemical dependence treatment. Prior to her present position, Ms. Schechtel was the Director of Clearway, a dual-diagnosis outpatient clinic serving adolescents and adults along with their families. She created and developed this program, which had a large forensic population. At Corona Elmhurst Continuing Day Treatment Program, Ms. Schechtel was the MICA Specialist/Supervisor. She also worked at Bleuler Psychotherapy, Inc. with children, adolescents and adults and in methadone maintenance at the Lower Eastside Service Center, Inc. Ms. Schechtel has a BA in Psychology from Boston University and a MSW from Fordham University.
